Club career

Early days

Ćorluka was born in Modran, a town near Derventa, Yugoslavia, in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, but it was officially said he was born in Doboj because his town Modran was closer to Doboj Hospital. He began to play football in Dinamo Zagreb's youth teams as shortly as he was merely eight years old, impressing a lot scouts from the youth academy.
