Club career

Early career

Diaby was born in Aubervilliers, a northeastern suburb of Paris, and originated his career playing for hometown club Aubervilliers. Diaby's quick progression at the amateur club led to a shift to regional semi-professional outfit Red Star Paris where he consumed a year. After retiring Red Star at age 13, Diaby gestured a youth contract with the businessman funds club Paris Saint-Germain, regardless being a Marseille supporter. Diaby retired the club afterwards pair years. While attending Paris-Saint-Germain, he also routinely attended categories at the famed Clairefontaine academy. 2008–09 season

2009–10 season
