Kim Jeffrey Kurniawan (born March 23, 1990) is an Indonesian football performer, now playing for the Indonesian football club Persema Malang. He accumulated fame in Indonesia later the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) decided to naturalize Kurniawan for their "naturalization program." On December 6, 2010, he officially retains an Indonesian passport, becoming the first naturalized Indonesian football performer later Cristian Gonzáles. Kurniawan will enter the performer selection for the under-23 team, any person who will participate in the 2012 Olympics qualification and the 2011 Southeast Asian Games

Background

Kurniawan was born in Mühlacker, Germany, to a German mother Uschi and a Chinese Indonesian male parent Petrus Kurniawan. His grandfather from his father's side, Kwee Hong Sing, was also a footballer any person who played for Persija Jakarta and also the Indonesian national football team in the 1950s Born as a German national, Kurniawan decided to accept an Indonesian passport later PSSI submitted him to play for the national team. He joined Indonesia in early 2010 with other Indonesian descent footballers Irfan Bachdim and Alessandro Trabucco. They were invited by PSSI to play in couple charity games.
